Wee - Haw

Our little cowboy! Some friends were giving away this one of a kind horsie. I couldn't wait to pick it up for Max. He was a little shy at first but once we got it home he jumped on it and said "Wee-Haw!"

It didn't take him long to stand up on it. Fortunately, Grandpa Peterson had just brought home a cowboy hat from Wyoming so he had something to wear on his head. :) He loves to show it all off whenever someone comes over.

Monster Trucks

Max has loved monster trucks for awhile now so when we found out there were some coming to Salt Lake we had to go. This was one of our favorite ones. He ended up flipping over on it's back. Max still talks about it. They were giving rides on a monster truck so of course Max and Shelby had to go on it! Max cried when it was over. The driver thought he was scared so Shelby had to tell him he was crying because he didn't want to get off!

Max loved pointing out all of the monster trucks to Nana.

Halloween 2009

We had a great Halloween this year. We went on the haunted Heber Creeper. We were worried that Max would get scared but he had a lot of fun. We were pretty proud of the pumpkins we carved. Max had fun blowing out the candles inside of them. He kept singing "Happy Birthday to you!" Even Kitty got to dress up along with the rest of us! We announced that we are pregnant! Not a lot of people got it at first. We had to tell them to look harder at my costume. I don't know who had more fun trick-or-treating, Max or Shelby!

Belgium/France

Well, we decided to take one last vacation while we still had our travel benefits. The original plan was Munich but when we didn't get on the flight the next plane to Europe was Brussels, Belgium. So, off we went. We spent the first day looking around the city and had Belgian waffles. Wow! they were amazing! The next afternoon we hopped on a train to a smaller town in the southern part of Belgium called Namur. There was a wonderful citadel there that we could walk around in. It turns out that our hotel was part of it so we just had to step outside to see the amazing sights. The next day we hopped on one of those speed rails and in an hour and a half we were in wonderful Paris! We had one day to see all the sights and we pulled it off! It was great! I can't wait to go back when we can spend more time there.

Destin, FL

So, after 10 years I finally got to go to Destin, FL. It was everything I imagined it would be. We took advantage of some of our last days of travel benefits and decided to go. Shelby and Max had a fun time burying Max in the snow white sand. We went to the Gulfarium and saw a Dolphin and Sea Lion show. It was amazing.

Birthday Boy

Max turned 3 yesterday! Shelby made the bestest cake ever! Here is Shelby and Max putting together his Lightening McQueen scooter.
